J. Gordon Dees, a native Houstonian, began the practice of law in 1977 as an Assistant District Attorney in Harris County, Texas. In 1981, Gordon was promoted to the position of Chief Felony Prosecutor. During his tenure with Harris County, Gordon tried over 100 criminal cases. In 1983, Gordon left the District Attorney's Office to join the lawfirm of Dickerson, Hamel, Early, & Pennock. While with that firm, Gordon expanded his trial experience to include civil litigation and administrative hearings. In 1987 Gordon began his private criminal law practice and since that time has maintained an active trial practice in both State and Federal Courts.
